The Ayia Napa Winter Swimmers Club was established by swimming enthusiasts in January 2023. The Municiaplity has contributed financially in us having a club house with all the amenities right on one of the best beaches of the island, Makronissos Beach Ayia Napa. We are currently 70 plus members and the number is growing, as swimming all the year round is becoming super popular all around the world. In winter, Cyprus’s waters are between 15.5 and 16.5°C!!! which is the same in August in Scandinavia and the UK, ... the warmest!!

Our coorganiser is the Municipality of Ayia Napa and its current Mayor Christos Zannettos, who from the word go, when we first approached him in July 2023, he has supported us both financially and with manpower

One of the objectives of this joint effort is to make Ayia Napa Cyprus an all year round tourist destination… another objective is to have a good time!!!
